Abstract
This paper is a retrospective study of 101 consecutive intraocular lens implantations with the Binkhorst 4 and 2-loop type lenses. The surgery represents a limited series of implant operations carried out by 10 surgeons of senior registrar grade on a programme of higher surgical training. When pre-existing adverse factors were excluded, the percentage of best visual results achieved was less than the best acuity levels reported by more experienced surgeons. The incidence of complications which could be related to surgical factors was found to be higher. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
