Abstract
Changes in activity of leucine aminopeptidase (EC 3.4.1.1, LAP), .gamma.-glutamyl transpeptidase (EC 2.3.2.2, GGTP) and CO2+-activated acylase were observed in serum of patients with ovarian carcinoma, with or without ascites, treated with Ledakrin (1-nitro-9-[3-dimethylaminopropylamino[acridine). The activities of LAP and GGTP increased during treatment and tumor progression. The level of Co2+-activated acylase increased only slightly during treatment and the determination of this enzyme appeared to be of no use in monitoring therapy of ovarian carcinoma.
