Abstract
We present a modification of Asai's technique which may offer a new approach to reconstruction of the larynx after laryngectomy and full surgical rehabilitation of the laryngectomized. Yet great persistence is needed to achieve the goal of restoring to the patient a satisfactory vocal, deglutional and respiratory function, and thus leading to psychological rehabilitation. Keywords
