High-Energy Limit of Photon Scattering on Hadrons

We show that the presence of a fixed pole at $J=1\mathrm{}$ in the process $\gamma +\gamma \to h+\overline{h}$ reinstates the coupling of the $\gamma -\gamma$ state to the vacuum trajectory, and hence permits a finite total photon cross section as $s\to \infty$.
