Abstract
A 62.0±0.4-sec isomer, , has been observed which decays by emission of a positron group of endpoint energy 2.87±0.10 MeV to an excited state in at 3.191 MeV, followed by a cascade of three rays of energies 0.438±0.003, 1.226±0.010, and 1.520±0.010 MeV. The levels of and their assigned spins are: 1.523 MeV, 2+; 1.836 MeV, 0+; 2.424 MeV, 2+(1+); 2.750 MeV, 4+; and 3.191 MeV, 6+. The spin of is 7+. Studies of the reaction showed that the first and second excited states of are at 0.67±0.03 and 1.58±0.05 MeV, respectively, the former being . The excitation function for the reaction was also measured. The general trends of levels in even nuclides are rather well explained by two treatments of the -coupling model, with exceptions for and .
