Abstract
For the first time, both specific heat and susceptibility have been measured in a system which spans the entire mixed-valence range in a continuous manner. Ce ions in and go from tetravalent () for to trivalent () for . Both and increase dramatically as varies from 0 to 1. Comparisons to theories are presented.
