Abstract
The activities of uroporphyrinogen III cosynthetase in blood lysates from 5 patients with the Dubin-Johnson syndrome (DJS) and 4 control subjects and in liver homogenates from 4 patients and 4 control subjects were determined. No significant difference was found in enzyme activity between the 2 groups in either blood lysate or liver homogenate. Low urinary coproporphyrin III output in the DJS apparently was not due to deficiency of uroporphyrinogen III cosynthetase in the liver and the erythropoietic system. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
