Electrolytic Behavior of CaF[sub 2] Crystals under Reducing Conditions

Abstract
Solid was studied from 550° to 800°C with fluorine chemical potentials ranging from coexistence. Measurements of a‐c conductivity and galvanic cell emf's lead to the conclusion that the ionic transference number for is essentially unity over the range of conditions studied and hence may be employed as a solid electrolyte therein.
