Determination of glucose using flow injection with a carbon fibre based enzyme reactor

Abstract
A reactor of immobilised glucose oxidase (GOD) covalently coupled to carbon fibre was used for the determination of glucose in a flow injection system. A wall-jet detector was employed to measure hydrogen peroxide produced by the enzymatic reaction. A computer was used to automate the flow injection system and perform unattended analyses. The precision and stability of the immobilised GOD carbon fibre reactor to glucose standards are discussed.
