Abstract
This paper reviews the development of psychiatric epidemiology in Quebec from 1960 to the present. The research in this area is divided into three periods: 1960 to 1980, 1980 to 1985, and 1985 onward. Child psychiatric epidemiology is addressed separately. The authors conclude that psychiatric epidemiology has been an active area of research in Quebec and will likely be even more so in the future given the increasing interest in the field. Keywords
