Abstract
We calculate the charge distribution and Fermi-level distribution among the different graphite layers in a lamellar graphite acceptor compound. The charge distribution is highly nonhomogeneous and, because of the semimetallic nature of graphite, nonlinear effects are important. The calculations for are performed in terms of a generalized Thomas-Fermi model and show that there is a transition at short distances from the intercalate from a power law to an exponential asymptotic decay.
