Method for Measurement of Coupling Constants

The possibility of direct experimental determination of certain coupling constants or partial widths is examined. As an illustration of the proposed method the process $p\to N+\pi$ is discussed in some detail. Among other cases discussed are $\omega \to \rho +\pi$, ${Y_0}^{*}\to \overline{K}+N$ (to determine the ${Y_0}^{*}$ spin), and $\Sigma \to \Lambda +\pi$.
