Abstract
We prove that a generalized field theory has the same minimum surfaces of singularities in the external momenta as Chew's matrix, given by all the possible Landau surfaces of singularity of the related perturbation theory. This implies in particular that Lagrangian field theories are a special class of models satisfying the matrix postulates.
