STUDIES ON THE OPHTHALMODYNAMOMETRIC MEASUREMENT OF BLOOD PRESSURE IN THE DIAGNOSTICS OF DISTURBANCES OF THE CAROTID CIRCULATION

Abstract
Ophthalmodynamometric pressure (ODP) was investigated in 54 patients with cerebrovascular disease. The ODP results were compared with clinical and angiographic findings. It has been found that ODP examination is a valuable supplement to other diagnostic methods. When the diastolic ODP difference is 10% or more, carotid disease is frequently present.
