Abstract
Unimolecular and collision-induced dissociation of produced by electron-impact ionization of were studied quantitatively with a double-focusing mass spectrometer. The occurrence of the metastable dissociation process → + Ar is interpreted qualitatively in terms of potential-energy curves calculated recently using quantum-mechanical methods.
