Abstract
A summary of the more important recent contributions concerning plants which attain their opt. development in concs. of NaCl > 0.5%. The effects of ions on succulence, differential absorption of ions, regulatory mechanism of osmotic pressure, soil environment, transpiration in the halophytes are some of the subjects discussed. A course which new investigations should take is suggested. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
