Abstract
A report is presented on tests with 329 patients operated on under the diagnosis of ‘obstructive aspermia’ and 183 patients with idiopathic varicoceles. 72 (22%) patients had an agenesis of the ductus deferentes. In 257 patients, an epididymovasostomy was performed. Following bilateral epididymovasostomy, permeability of the spermatic ducts was achieved. At the time of the follow-up examination, 13 out of the patients so treated had become fathers. 183 patients with idiopathic varicoceles were treated by high ligation of the vena spermatica. 80 of these patients, with preoperative proof oligospermia, were controlled. 80% showed postoperatively a normospermia or a considerable improvement of the oligospermia. Keywords
