Determination of riboflavin and its coenzymes in tissues

Abstract
The influences of flavin concentration, ionic strength and different ions on the fluorescence of riboflavin, ribofiavin-5[image]-phosphate, riboflavin-5[image]-pyrophosphate and flavinadenine dinucleotide were studied. A method has been worked out for the extraction and separate determination of these compounds from animal tissues, and the results are compared with those obtained after proteolytic digestion of the tissue.
