Electricity Consumption by the Elderly: Policy Implications

Abstract
The results of a multivariate analysis of residential electricity consumption by the elderly show that of several long-term, structural factors related to this level of consumption, income is the least influential. However, the same analysis indicates that the distributional impacts of electric bills discriminate against the elderly.Keywords
