Abstract
This article focuses on the emerging technology of electronic decision‐making support known as GDSS, or Group Decision Support Systems. Included are discussions of advantages and disadvantages of group decision making, GDSS features that overcome disadvantages of conventional group decision making, operation and composition of GDSS technology, and stage of GDSS use and development. The main topic of consideration is factors that are important to the success and, therefore, eventual widespread acceptance of GDSS in the organizational setting. The focus of future research in this area is also discussed. Keywords
