Abstract
The use of photographic film, including chemical development, to generate nonlinear optical systems is described. Such systems may be regarded as multilevel, two-dimensional decision networks of high resolution and large information processing capacity. The use of nonlinear decision processes of this type to separate classes of image data is described and illustrated by means of an example. Keywords
