Abstract
The occurrence of infantile cortical hyperostosis in 3 siblings without apparent involvement of other members of the family is reported, and the literature regarding the familial incidence of this disease is summarized. The probability of many unrecognized mild cases makes it impossible, in the light of present knowledge, to assess the relative importance of genetic factors in the etiology of the disease or to determine the mode or modes of genetic transmission. An example of cortical hyperostosis presenting in a nasal bone is recorded as well as a case of the disease demonstrated in utero. Keywords
