Abstract
An elevated plasma 17-OHCS was observed in rats self-stimulating for 1 hr., especially those implanted in the region of the medial forebrain bundle in the hypothalamus. This is interpreted to mean that ACTH was released and thus a stress response occurred despite the fact that intracranial shock in these brain sites has reinforcing properties. Keywords
