Abstract
The voice characteristics measured by the Psychological Stress Evaluator (PSE) were investigated in patients taking widely prescribed tranquillizers. It was found that not only was the PSE affected by medication, but that the effects were different for two different benzodiazepines. Implications for the PSE as a psychophysiological measure are discussed. Keywords
