Abstract
The tumor was removed by lobectomy and found to be localized and benign. Patient''s sputum and gastric contents grew out Candida albicans which was also found in the pus from a rectal abscess. The patient made an uneventful postoperative recovery. A 6-year followup showed no recurrence of the tumor. A review of the world literature has discovered only 15 cases. This type of tumor of the bronchus is apparently an extreme rarity. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
