Abstract
Sensors impact on the electronics industry is growing because of its close connection with process control in manufacturing as well as with entertainment goods and automotive industry. Therefore new sensors and new applications of well known sensors have been developed. The present situation and future prospects are here examined, emphasizing that in this field scientific, technical and economic interests flow together. These interests have already today, but more so will have in the future, an accelerating effect all over industrial development. Keywords
