Abstract
There are extraordinarily few publications on resection of tracheal stenoses in infancy and early childhood in the international literature. Various questions, such as resection versus longitudinal incision of the stenosis, the use of cardiopulmonary bypass e.t.c. are still the subjects of controversy, so that this sort of tracheal surgery must still be considered to be in an experimental stage. If a surgeon is confronted with one of these very rare cases, decisions must frequently be made on matters in which either very little experience is available or the literature contains no reports at all. Keywords
