Abstract
A detailed method of calculating the no-load core losses of induction motors is presented whereby each loss component is estimated separately. There is included a discussion of extra losses due to imperfection in workmanship. Calculated and test results on a few commercial machines are given as an indication of the reliability of this method. Keywords
