Measurement of the $π^{+} p$ and $π^{-} p$ Polarization Parameters at 100 GeV/c

Abstract

We report measurements of the polarization parameters in

π^{+} p

and

π^{-} p

elastic scattering at an incident momentum of 100 GeV/c. The results cover the range

0.18 <~ - t <~ 1.4

Ge

V^{2}

and are in agreement with current Regge-model predictions.
