Abstract
This work concerns the experimental and theoretical study of Raman scattering in fluorides with the rutile structure. The authors measure the absolute value of the inelastic scattered light by comparison with the 992 cm-1 band of benzene. They describe the experimental apparatus which has been used and discuss all the corrections that it is necessary to take into account. Some results on the Raman spectra of MgF2, MnF2 and FeF2 crystals are reported. Keywords
