Abstract
We present intermediate band photometric and astrometric observations at 8000Å and 9200Å of the galactic center region. Two unresolved objects are found near the positions of the compact non‐thermal radio source in Sgr A and the infrared source IRS16. If either of the objects we find is at the distance of the galactic center, its emission must be non‐stellar in nature. These objects may also be foreground stars. Spectroscopic observations are needed to determine unambiguously the nature of these objects. Keywords
