Abstract
The electronic structure of liquid Tl2Te has been calculated for its recently determined ionic structure. The valence band differs significantly from that of a molecular structure. However, it is argued that this may not affect many of the electronic properties of the Te-rich alloys because these alloys must still contain chain molecules. Keywords
