UTILIZATION OF PHOSPHORUS FROM VARIOUS FERTILIZER MATERIALS

Abstract
The effect of super-, alpha tri-Ca-, Ca meta-, ammon. super-, and di-Ca-phosphates on the P utilization by corn and cotton was studied. With cotton, the lowest % of P was derived from the di-Ca-phosphate. With corn and cotton, when compared to super-phosphate, alpha-tri-Ca-phosphate was lower and Ca-meta-phosphate higher. These relationships were consistent throughout the growing season for the 50- and 100-lb. rates on all soils.
