Abstract
A survey was made to determine the southern limits of the distribution of Macropsis trimaculata, a known vector of peach yellows. The distribution of M. insignis, M. tristis, and M. quadrimaculata, all considered possible vectors of the disease, was also recorded. The insects were found in mixed populations on all available spp. of wild plum. The results demonstrate a wider range than had been credited to these species, but suggest that they are primarily northern insects.
