Abstract
The decay of the intermediate vector meson of the weak interactions is discussed with emphasis on the modes , . It is noted that if the mass is in the neighborhood of the observed resonance at , then the mode will dominate all others. The production of by and is also discussed in terms of a "peripheral collision" model.
