Abstract
A comparison of gastric pH in 12 duodenal ulcer patients shows that, with the same total amount of food/day, maximum acidity with 2-hourly feedings never rises as high as with 4-hourly feedings, and there is less fluctuation of the acid level. Both size and frequency of meals may be of clinical relevance to pain of duodenal ulcer. Keywords
