Abstract
The mixed-basis method has been used to calculate the conduction-band structure of CsF. Relativistic effects have been included. The resulting bands are found to resemble strongly those of most other alkali halides; in particular, there is no indication that the point is nearly degenerate with , as conjectured earlier by one of us (WBF).
