Abstract
The form of the female genital aperture of B. annulatus, B. kohlsi, B. microplus, B. decoloratus and B. geigyi was studied and it was found to be adequate in itself in specifically characterizing the species. Specimens determined by Minning were examined and their synonymy is discussed. The range of variability in B. annulatus and B. microplus described. Two species have been found in Israel: B. annulatus and B. kohlsi. The geographical distribution, host preferences, seasonal prevalence and sex ratio of these species are given. A key to all species is included. Keywords
