Abstract
104 psychiatric Ss were tested to elicit suicidal ideation. Correct identifications varied from 30% to 43%. False positives were 33%. Psychologists tended to agree with each other more often than expected by chance. Severity of illness was primary in the experiment rather than being able to predict suicide.
