Abstract
Eight cases, 5 in the esophageal region and 3 in the pyloric gland region, of gastric ulceration and perforation in foals have been recorded. The esophageal region ulcers are considered to be mechanical-traumatic in origin, while the pyloric region ulcers may be related to chronic “stress” and/or drug therapy. Keywords
