Abstract
The purpose of this article is to propose a set of guidelines for the professional practitioner that may be useful in teaching aged adults. The guidelines are based on research data regarding certain changes that occur with aging and that inñuence the learning and performance of older people. The discussion will focus on research findings related to changes in the sensory, central and motor processes and other factors inñuencing learning. Implications for practice, extrapolated from the findings, will be discussed and subsequently summarized at the end of the article as a set of guidelines. Keywords
