Abstract
The development of the Activity Experience Inventory, a measure of manifest interest (interest expressed by actual participation in relevant activity) is described. The items were scored using the interest areas of the Kuder Preference Record, Form BB. Validity coefficients (against an Experience Data Blank) varied from .27 to .82, median .39. Experience patterns for boys and girls differed in the expected directions. Reliability coefficients are reported. Tentative norms, separate for males and females, were developed for 398 male and 438 female high school students. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
