Abstract
An instrument for automatic topping‐up of liquid nitrogen in Dewars is described, featuring small diameter (5 mm) splash‐proof level sensors on flexible leads. A 9 W flow‐controlling solenoid valve is directly driven by a reliable, low power circuit, which requires no readjustments. Standard, inexpensive components are used throughout. Keywords
