Abstract
Altogether 210 normal-hearing ears were screened regarding the possibility of producing click-evoked oto-acoustic emissions (“Kemp echoes”). Only a limited number of these ears displayed an emission. This finding limits the useful application of this technique as a method to define cochlear functioning. Keywords
