Abstract
A good separation of epinephrine (I) and norepinephrine (n) was achieved by paper partition chromatography, using n-butanol saturated with [image] HC1. Dihydroxyphenylalanine and hydroxytyramine, in presence of I and II could also be resolved. R-values for I and II on starch columns, using butanol/0.1 [image] HC1 were 0.545 and 0.350, respectively. Separations from cattle suprarenal extracts were obtained in 45 hrs., and the fractions were tested both colorimetrically and biologically. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
