Axon Reflex Sweating in Rheumatoid Arthritis

Abstract
The axon reflex sweating test has been performed in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and mental disorders without somatic disease. In the female rheumatoid arthritics the results were more often negative than in the female controls. No significant difference was observed in the male cases. Cold hands and a high erythrocyte sedimentation rate often accompanied impaired axon reflex function.
