Abstract
A method described in earlier papers has been used to determine the ion density distribution in the images formed by radial electrostatic and homogeneous magnetic field analysers and the peak shapes resulting from a scan of such a beam across a slit. The effects of varying some of the field parameters on the density distribution and peak shape are described. Keywords
