Familial Cutaneous Collagenoma

Abstract
A condition characterized by numerous cutaneous nodules on the backs of three brothers is described. The disorder seems clinically unique and, to our knowledge, previously unreported. Histologically, individual nodules show thickened dermis due to increased collagenous tissue. Disease of other organ systems was present in each case and the possibility of an association with the cutaneous nodules is raised but not proved. We propose the name familial cutaneous collagenoma.
