Abstract
The authors describe a case of oncogenic osteomalacia from recurrent mesenchymal tumor of the lower extremity that was demonstrated by indium-111 pentetreotide scintigraphy and MR examination. The characteristics of this rare soft-tissue neoplasm and the role of imaging diagnosis and potential therapy with somatostatin analog compounds are briefly reviewed and discussed. Keywords
