Abstract
The general equation for the equilibrium shape of an ideally thin, flexible, inflated, undeflected cord tire is derived from the equilibrium conditions for an individual cord. Various special cases are discussed and equations are derived for the cord tension, bead tension, and shearing stress between plies. Keywords
